What types of jewelry do you offer?
We offer engagement rings, wedding bands, necklaces, bracelets, earrings, custom jewelry, and other fine-jewelry pieces. Selection changes, so contact us or visit the store if you are looking for something specific.
Do you sell natural and lab-grown diamonds?

Do diamonds come with grading reports?

Custom jewelry design
Do you create custom jewelry?
Yes. We design one-of-a-kind engagement rings, wedding jewelry, personalized pieces, and redesigned heirloom jewelry. You can bring inspiration photos, an existing stone or piece, and a general budget to begin the conversation. Explore our custom jewelry design process.
How long does a custom piece take?
Many custom projects take approximately 10–14 business days, but timing depends on the design, materials, stone availability, and complexity. We will discuss the expected timeline during your consultation.
Can you redesign heirloom jewelry?
Yes. We can evaluate an heirloom piece and discuss whether its stones or metal can be incorporated into a new design. An in-person inspection is usually needed before we recommend options.
Jewelry repair and care
Can you repair broken jewelry?
Yes. Our jewelry repair services include ring sizing, chain repair, prong work, stone setting, and other common repairs. Bring the piece to the store so we can inspect it and explain the recommended work.
Do you replace watch batteries or clean watch bands?
Yes. We provide watch-battery replacement and watch-band cleaning. Call ahead if you have questions about a particular watch.
Do you clean jewelry?
We offer complimentary cleaning and inspection for most jewelry items. Some pieces may require special handling, so our team will inspect the item first.
Appraisals, gold buying, and payment options
Do you offer jewelry appraisals?

Can I sell or trade in old jewelry?

Our posted hours are Monday–Friday, 11:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.; Saturday, 11:30 a.m.–6:30 p.m.; and Sunday, 12:00 p.m.–4:00 p.m. Hours may change for holidays or special circumstances, so call 313-582-7888 before making a special trip.
Is your jewelry made in the USA?
Many pieces are designed or crafted locally, and we support American artisans. Origin varies by item; ask us about the specific piece you are considering.
Shipping, exchanges, and policies
Do you offer shipping?
Yes. Secure shipping within the United States and in-store pickup are available. Contact us to confirm shipping eligibility, timing, cost, and any signature requirements for your purchase.
What is your return or exchange policy?
N.J. Diamonds does not accept returns. Eligible exchanges must be made within three days of purchase. Jewelry must be unworn, in its original packaging, and in the same condition in which it left the store. Custom pieces are non-refundable and non-exchangeable. Ask about the policy that applies to your item before purchasing.
